That are very complexed societies, with their own cities, organized governments ,religion, art, classes divided , even their own writing system. The very first civilization arose in river valleys cause the farming conditions become easier to feed an large number of people. Which also made it easier to get from one place to the other and easier to trade. Once all this trading goods, and ideas it was no accident that the cities grew up between the two rivers and became the center of civilization.When all the cities stated to take shape, so did the need for more organization so someone had to be in "charge" of the food supplies and building projects. And to make plans and decision about the matters of common concern.
