what was the great schism?
Over the two kinds of Christianity, the emperor always had the last say. Neither of the leaders like this so in their on going feud they'd both rest their cases. Eventually In 1054 they both excommunicated one another. This means to exclude someone or take them out of what they belonged to. They took them both away from the church, this was the Great Schism.
how does christianity spread to england?
Missionaries were people who would travel to share the word of God. Two groups got a hold of them and many people were attacked and invaded. These two groups became known as Angleland, or today known as England. When it got their, it finally spread throughout the West.
