eq: describe the Assyrians & Chaldeans!
The Assyrians and Chaldeans are similar in ways but not in all ways. Like the Assyrians were very powerful, which some city- states feared the Assyrians. Which the Chaldeans were also very strong and powerful, but they were not powerful enough to make other city-states fear them. The Chaldeans became one of the richest and largest city-state because of trading. Which the Chaldeans would make and trade many things which helped Chaldeans become so large in trading.
Problem & Solution
An Assyrian king must be strong to rule over a large empire. Which in 650 BCE, the empire had stretched from the Persian Gulf to Egypt's Nile River which is in the west side. A king of Assyria divided the empire into provinces or into political districts. The king chose officials to govern in each provinces. Which the officials collected taxes and also enforced the king's laws. An king of Assyria built roads that connected all the provinces to their empire. The government places soldiers at stations along the way to protect traders from bandits. Which some messengers on the government business used these stations to rest and change their horses.
What i learned from the past
As time went on by the Chaldeans began to lose their power. Which the Chaldeans began to find it hard to control the people they had conquered. By 539 BCE, Persians form the mountains from the northeast captured Babylon. Then Mesopotamia became apart of the new Persian Empire.
